NFTY-NAR’s Albany Advocacy Day

Join NFTY-NAR and teens from across New York State in the Capitol Region to learn about the issues, government, and how to lobby, and to prepare our speeches. On Monday, we'll go to the Capitol to meet with our representatives.

We will happily provide absence notes for those missing school and 15 hours of community service.

  • Use your voice to advocate for causes you care about and lobby your local elected officials
  • Learn from teen leaders, RAC staff and local experts about lobbying & advocacy
  • Meet new people and see your friends from NFTY, Camp, Israel and Mitzvah Corps
  • Participate in meaningful social action opportunities

Early Bird: $220 USD Register by, Wednesday, February 13, 2019

Regular: $245 USD Register by Wednesday, March 6, 2019

Space Available: $260 USD Register after Wednesday, March 6, 2019 (must be approved by regional director)

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 9 to 12.

  • Registration will be accepted after March 6, 2019 on a space-available basis.
  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and unfortunately we cannot prorate registration.
Participants may attend by bus or be driven to the event by an adult.

Participants and their families will receive a confirmation email prior to the event with additional information.
If you need to cancel, the registration fees you paid will be refunded as follows:

Through February 21, 2019 – 90%

Through February 28, 2019 – 75%

Through March 7, 2019 – 50%

After March 7, 2019 we will not be able to issue any refunds for cancellation. If you have a documented medical emergency and must cancel after March 7, 2019 you will be refunded 75% of the registration fees you paid. Please note that we cannot offer credits in exchange of refunds.

All cancellation must be in writing. We will accept cancellations by email to nftynar@urj.org. We’re sorry, but we cannot accept cancellations over the phone. Please allow up to six weeks after the conclusion of the event for your refund to be processed.
